Tip 1: Don’t Brush Aggressively!

We recommend to all of our patients that you need to use a soft-bristled toothbrush with fluoride and limit their brushing time to avoid overbrushing. Most dentists will recommend going in a circular motion when brushing, instead of going back and forth motion. Tip 2: Cut Down On Sugar
Everybody loves a bit of sugar sometimes, who doesn’t right? However if you have a lot of sugar intake it can also cause weight gain, and heart disease and could lead to heart conditions. If you want to avoid having bad breath and want a healthy smile, it is crucial to cut back on sugary foods and drinks. If there’s any question as to whether or not there is something high in sugar or if it tastes too sweet there is a high chance there is a lot of sugar. You are allowed to have sugar and also eat healthy you will just need to balance it and keep an eye on the amount of sugar you have.
Tip 3: Do Not Smoke
Tip three is to understand that smoking can lead to bad breath and poor oral health, as well as staining your teeth and increasing the percentage of the risk of gum disease. Snacking isn’t harmful to your teeth. There are always good alternative ways to keep hunger at bay and meet your body’s energy needs between meals. The problem is that a lot of people snack on foods that aren’t very healthy for them or they have too much. If you have a nighttime craving the best way to stay healthy and satisfy them is with fruit or vegetables rather than junk food.
Tip 6: See Your Dentist Twice A Year
It is important to visit your dentist twice a year! During that time you should get a full mouth exam as well as professional cleaning. These general checkups will ensure that you have good dental hygiene, especially because most cavities develop a surface that isn’t easily seen by patients.
